is hosting a fundraising seminar for it's move to a new location. This
may be the last major event at the current JMAC location. The details
are as follows:

10:00 am - Guro T. Kent Nelson, 26 years experience, founder of
KSK
Martial Arts, former coach for the Mash Fight Team, teacher to both
civilians & Law Enforcement. Teaching Filipino Martial Arts -
Panantukan (Filipino Boxing).
11:00 am - Daryl Campbell, wrestling champion, former wrestling coach at Huron High School, teaching wrestling.
12:00 pm - Lunch
1:00 pm - Steve Kolasa, karate & aikido black belt, accomplished Brazillian Jiu-Jitsu practitioner, teaching BJJ.
2:00 pm -
Master Dan Vigil, TKD champion, extraordinary kicker, teaching kicking.

Internal Arts Association of Michigan will be holding a "Hsing I Ch'uan Intensive" Seminar on Saturday, August 28th. This will be an all-day event from
Noon to 6:30pm.
This program is
open to the public: Any/all styles or experience are welcome. No prior
martial arts experience is required.

Nicklaus Suino Sensei,
SMAA Judo Division Director and sixth dan, will be offering a special
summer event focused on traditional Kodokan judo. Don’t miss out on
this great opportunity to learn the following judo throws:
• Seoi Nage (“Shoulder Throw”)
• Harai Goshi (“Sweeping Hip Throw”)
• Uchi Mata (“Inner Thigh Throw”)
• De Ashi Barai (“Advancing Foot Sweep”)
• O Soto Gari (“Major Outside Reap”)
Suino Sensei will teach how these techniques can be used effectively in
competition, but also in self-defense. These are skills that can
benefit people in every martial art, and extensive prior judo
experience is not needed, as instruction will be offered for both
beginners and advanced judoka.
