By blending Filipino Jujitsu, Karate, and Stick Fighting into a brilliantly conceived, versatile and effective Martial Art, Modern Arnis was born. Through a relaxed teaching style, you will learn a fascinating variety of stick, empty hand, and jujitsu techniques. These include:

• 12 angles of attack
• Anyo (kata)
• Throwing and control
• Ground fighting
• Flow Drills

   Instructor Scott VanDerzee started training in Martial Arts at age 11 and has 27 years of experience. He received his greatest honor of Certified Instructor and 3rd degree black belt from Professor Remy A. Presas founder of Modern Arnis. Scott has also trained with such notables as Dr. Maung Gyi, Taika Oyata, Professor Wally Jay, Dan Inosanto, Larry Hartsell, George Dillman, and many other Masters of the arts of Self Defense. GuroScott is currently a member of the IMAF inc. and holds the rank of 4th degree blackbelt.
